On-chip Biotechnologies to Present Short Talk and Exhibit Droplet-Based Microfluidic Instrument at NASNFC 2026

We are pleased to announce that On-chip Biotechnologies will participate in the 27th North American Symbiotic Nitrogen Fixation Conference (NASNFC 2026), taking place June 1–4, 2026, at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

On June 4, Dr. Chinh X. Luu will give a short talk on a scalable platform for identifying and engineering cereal-associated microbes with enhanced symbiotic potential. The work combines Sinorhizobium meliloti nod gene reporters, plasmid-based strain identification, and droplet-based microfluidic screening to support future development of synthetic root nodule symbiosis in non-leguminous crops.

During the conference, we will also showcase at our booth the droplet-based microfluidic instrument used in this research. Visitors will be able to learn how high-throughput droplet screening can help accelerate microbial strain discovery, biosensor-based screening, and synthetic biology workflows.

Short Talk:
“High-Throughput Identification of Engineerable Cereal Symbionts using Sinorhizobia meliloti Nodulation Gene (nod) Reporters and a Droplet-based Microfluidic Platform”

Date: THURSDAY June 4, 2026

If you have any questions about the presentation or the technology showcased at our booth, please feel free to contact us. info@on-chipbio.com

We look forward to connecting with the nitrogen fixation and plant–microbe interaction community.
